Slam

Slam is an algorithmic drum machine inspired by classic analog boxes—but it isn’t limited to accent/no-accent velocity. You get per-drum velocity resolution (127 steps), with timbre and behavior changing across the range. Extra voices like finger snap and tambourine sit beside kicks and snares, and you can coax gnarly monophonic bass tones on a chromatic keyboard. The engine is entirely native C++ code (no sample playback).

Sound & design

Each drum voice was tuned for organic, punchy results with a wide set of parameters. Under the hood you’ll find resonators, an analog pulse emulator, noise generation, and additional filtering—built to feel lively.
